Blogger Awards – Mystery Blog Award
I just wanted to shout out my lovely Niamh for nominating me for this award. She’s an absolute babe. I always look forward to her posts and love her Instagram. You should go and follow her, you’ll see what I mean. My WordPress shit itself so I ended up following her four times I dunno what’s going on as I’ve been following her for months (sorry Niamh for all the notifications you may receive lol!) I think it’s probably because I went from my mobile to my MacBook on Google Chrome and then Safari, I tend to do that when I have Youtube on so I can watch Youtube on Safari and blog on Chrome.

The Mystery Blogger Award was created by blogger Okoto Enigma.
“The ‘Mystery Blogger Award’ is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.”

3 Facts About Me
1. I’m actually quite Witty
I really want to do that assumption about me tag as I often get people telling me they thought I was really quiet and serious, but I’m the complete opposite! I have my sis Lauren in ruptures quite a lot. One of my closest and best friends from the blogging world Karen can also vouch for it (just ask her about the rotten sponge story), but it’s 100% either dark humour, sex puns or toilet humour where us two are concerned.
2. I Have a Mixed Ethnicity
I am really interested in genealogy and learning about my family history. Before my granda passed we were trying to piece my paternal family together. Unfortunately, he passed before we could do a proper ancestry DNA test. All I know is that on my maternal side I have Maltese and Italian in my blood.
However, my partner and friends often comment on my eyes and that there is Asian in my ethnicity somewhere given their shape. I’m also weirdly obsessed with little Asian kids and have said for years I want to adopt them (I really hope this doesn’t seem racist as I’m totally not being I genuinely will adopt at least two kids from different cultures).
3. I LOVE Gaming
I am an avid gamer, like to the point where my main priority for my phone when I upgraded was to make sure I had enough storage for all the games I have. It’s the same at home, I have an Xbox One and a shit tonne of games from all genres. I have my horror games (most of you know I love a good horror) like Resident Evil, roleplaying games, old classics like Sonic, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, Lara Croft, and lots of others.
I also have a gaming PC that was built by someone else, but I did a lot of research into the type of software I wanted. I mostly play The Sims on there and I can lose days on that game. I have a laptop for working and editing software for my photography (but there’s also games on here too). My cousin plays for money on places like Twitch, but I’ve not figured out how to do that, just yet and I honestly don’t know if I’d want to as I think it would be pretty boring watching me play games. I am on Discord andTwitch, though. My username on Discord is horrorfandom and my username on Twitch is justabelfastgirl if you wanna add me.
Answering Niamh’s Questions
1. What’s your favourite TV/Streaming series?
Oh my god, this is so hard to choose. I love True Crime so anything docuseries based, I did a post quite recently about this. The other kind of stuff I watch would be horror based or occult based. I really can’t choose between “You” which is a psychological thriller based on the amazing novel by Caroline Kepnes, The Haunting of Hill House based on a novel by Shirley Jackson and The Order which is about an occult order in a university campus. I binge watched it in like two days and loved it. Then there are the comedies like Bob’s Burgers, Big Mouth and Archer. Actually, ARCHER hands down Archer wins it for me, it’s brilliant. I watch way too much on Netflix…
2. What’s the One Album that You Always go Back to?
Hmm… good question. It depends on my mood, but I have five albums I have on constant which are:
So as you can see, a very wide range of genres and most of them are greatest hits albums because I tend to listen to them more than the original albums, but I do have favourite songs on all albums not featured on the greatest hits. I tend to just play the artists’ station on Amazon Music or the genre station and let it play as I love discovering new bands that way.
3. If You Could Have Any Animal as a Pet, What Would it Be?
A SLOTH OMFG A SLOTH! Have you ever seen the reaction Kirsten Bell does when she sees a sloth? That is me! I literally fucking cry when I see one. I get so emotional and overwhelmed, I just love them. My other half put on a 3-minute video about baby sloth’s being rehabilitated in Costa Rica and I was so overwhelmed I just had tears running down my face. I’m the same with goats and dogs, although I don’t cry when I see goats and dogs because they’re more common and I’ve learned to control my emotions.
4. Where is Your Dream Living Location?
This is really cliche, but it’s true and it’s something I am looking into. I want to own a home on the Northern Irish coast. It’s been my dream to have a house that overlooks the Irish sea. I’m currently trying to figure out how much it would cost to own a home by the coast, there is plenty of places, but I’d like to be close to my dad and non biological mum as I don’t want to be too far away from Belfast so it lowers my places by a bit.
5. Which are of your blog would you prefer to thrive at? (i.e. Writing, Photography, a particular social platform)
I don’t think my blog is brand friendly, to be honest, if my blog could pay for itself then I’d be happy enough as it’s money I could save for my house and publishing my first book. I never started my blog to make money on it, but being self-hosted and keeping the blog safe from hackers costs quite a bit.
I think the only other place I’d like to be better would be photography for my blog, which is weird as I do a lot of landscape photography. I have a part-time photography business called Pixelsque Photography NI. I haven’t set up a website or anything, just an Instagram and it’s brand new, but when it comes to taking my own blog photos, especially for products I think they’re rubbish and don’t want to use them.
Questions for my Nominees
- If you had a choice between becoming a witch and being able to cast spells to help people, but any spells you cast would slowly kill you, or to nominate someone else to become a witch and cast spells that would help you and others, but it would slowly kill them, what would you choose?
- If you could compare yourself with any world leader past or present, who would it be and why?
- If you could speak to someone you lost one more time, what would you say?
- Who or what is your spirit animal, and why do you relate to said “person” or animal?
- If you were in a horror movie, which cliché character would you be?
Well, we all know I’m not normal so my questions weren’t going to be! Good luck answering these, don’t forget to tag me in the posts when you’re done so I can see your responses!
